Become your own boss and run your own business with a rewarding franchise opportunity in the UK home care industry
Established in 1994, SureCare is a domiciliary care service that offers professional, personal care across a spectrum of ages and needs, from companionship and everyday home care support to assisting those with complex needs requiring 24-hour attention. Services range from live-in care, respite care, sleepovers and household management. Services can be tailored to the individual needs of clients and can be adapted to any change in circumstances.
The Market
You can help make a real difference in people’s lives throughout your local community, whilst making a wise investment to earn a profitable living in an industry that’s worth over £20 billion.
Home care is an increasingly popular way for older and vulnerable people to receive regular assistance in the comfort and security of their own home.
Life expectancy is longer than ever before and our ageing population continues to grow. The Office for National Statistics predicts that the number of people over 75 in the UK will grow from 5.4 million (in 2018) to almost 10 million by the year 2040.
Whether someone requires extensive domiciliary care or just a helping hand around the house a few times a week, home care offers an all-encompassing, flexible service to millions of people up and down the country. With your own SureCare Franchise, you can support your local community whilst operating in a profitable and recession-proof market.
What kind of person is SureCare looking for?
“We want to hear from people who may be interested in becoming a full franchisee, but also from those who like the idea of becoming their own boss, but can only afford the budget of a micro franchise,” says Gary Farrer, managing director.
What support and training does SureCare offer?
According to Gary, about half of SureCare’s franchisee’s come from a care background. “We are able to provide the intensive support, training and guidance all our new franchisees require,” he explains.
Training and support will be given throughout the term of the franchise so that the franchisee and their management staff are well equipped to get started as soon as possible and run as smoothly as possible. With this latter in mind, once the franchise is up and running, there is an ongoing support programme — whether you need to train new staff or just need a quick refresher.
The Investment
SureCare has a £36,000 (plus VAT) franchise fee and charges an ongoing 5 per cent (plus VAT) service charge. The brand estimates an initial investment of £70,000-£90,000 — which includes the franchise fee as well as working capital. The length of a SureCare franchise term is 10 years.
The Financials
Our franchise offices have shown consistent development and great success, with several franchise owners currently reporting turnover levels beyond one million dollars annually. Within nine months of starting up, we want new franchisees to break even, and we anticipate established offices to generate net profits of 15-20% (before franchise owner earnings and franchise costs).

Keith Hume (Merseyside)
I worked in industry for 30 years before taking redundancy and deciding to launch a SureCare franchise. I was impressed by SureCare’s approach to developing and delivering care and home services. The company recognise that people’s requirements are changing all the time and that there is a need to provide a comprehensive range of services to meet those needs throughout life’s journey.

Amrit Dhaliwal (Oxfordshire)
I don’t come from a care background, but became interested in running a business in this sector after caring for my grandfather. I saw how difficult it is for older people to continue to live on their own without day-to-day support. I like the ethos of SureCare, which is all about providing clients with the highest possible quality of care. It allows me to run my own successful business while also giving back to the community.

Anne Anyon (Preston & South Ribble)
I started off as a carer and then worked as a manager in the office of a care franchise, so I chose a franchise when I decided to start my own business. Care is heavily regulated and when I started the regulations were in flux, so I wanted the support of a franchisor. I’ve now got about 100 service users and have built up a team of 40 staff. I need much less franchisor support now, but it’s always there if needed and I talk regularly with other franchisees. We swap tips, advice and ideas so the franchise comes with a useful network.

Caron Oldreive and Cherly Hawksworth (Doncaster)
We chose a franchise because it gives support on time-consuming issues such as policy, procedures and legislation, so it left us free to provide care. When we started out eight years ago, we were the sole carers, as well as looking after the marketing the business. Today we have 60 staff providing care for more than 100 children and older people.
