I joined the team in September 2009 after working in the printing trade for 38 years, so running my own business was always going to be a challenge! I decided very early that a franchise suited my needs as I had only worked for the one organisation in printing and had limited knowledge on how to start, and more importantly grow a successful business. From day one Andy and the team were clear, honest and supportive, particularly in the early days when understandably there were more day-to-day issues to deal with. The sales team are the backbone of the business and my customers regularly commented on their knowledge and friendly attitude. After nine years with the brand and reaching the grand old age of 65, I decided to give the old bones a rest and sell up. I’d proved to myself that I could build a business that grew into a saleable entity and one which I genuinely enjoyed being a part of. I stay in touch and always pass on enquiries to the new owners whenever asked. It’s great to see the latest Hometyre van around the area still and to know that my efforts can still be seen!”.
